Our Enrollment Coordinator will schedule an evaluation time when our multidisciplinary team will assess your child in the areas of communication, cognitive, and motor development. Upon entering Kindering Center you will be meeting with our Family Resource Coordinator (FRC), who will help you through the application procedures and introduce you to our program. She will be gathering information about your child's history and your family's needs, in order to refer you to and coordinate the most appropriate programming both here and in the community. Based upon this evaluation and your own concerns and observations of your child, we will come to a joint decision about the best program for your child. This might include preschool classroom, home visits, therapies, or a combination, or re-evaluation in several months. Within 30 days we will share with you the written results of our evaluations and develop with you an in-depth plan which addresses the special needs of your child and outlines appropriate goals and objectives for your child's continued development. It will serve as a guideline for our work for the next 12-month period. We will also construct with your family, if you wish, an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), which outlines concerns, priorities, and resources of your family as a whole.
