Past Events

The 14th Annual Kindering Center Auction Gala presented by Costco
Wholesale took place
Saturday, November 3rd, 2007, at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Seattle
and was truly an unforgettable night. The evening kicked off with
lively bidding on silent auction items during the cocktail hour
followed by auction chairs Detlef & Mari Schrempf welcoming guests seated in the Grand
Ballroom for dinner. The live auction started and the night shifted
into high gear with
Ron Upshaw & Don O’Neill from the Ron & Don Show on
News Talk 710 Kiro as the hosts
and our fabulous auctioneer- Jim Jungers.
Together, our guests, sponsors and volunteers raised over $475,000 for the
Center. The night was made memorable with our scholarship
"raise the paddle" presentation by Patrick Evezich, which brought in over $150,000;
almost the entire room showed their support for children with
special needs by raising their bid cards to make a cash donation to
the Kindering Center.

Kindering Center's "Salute to Courage"
luncheon, presented by Pediatric Associates, on June 8th was a
wonderful success. Thank you to all of the guests, table
captains, volunteers, and sponsors for making this extraordinary
second annual event such a grand occasion. Thanks to your
support, the event has raised over $256,000 to support our
programs.
A very special thank you goes out to the
great luncheon committee, chaired by Diane Demopulos, and
including Heidi Fogg, Colleen Willis, Kim Fisher, and Jennifer
Schwartz. We also very much appreciate Kindering Center alumna
parent Becky Showalter, and alumni Ross Showalter, for sharing
their family’s story with our guests. Also, sincere thanks to
all the other family speakers at the event, including Kindering
Center alumni Cole Hardman, and Kindering Center staff and
parent Michelle Bianchi-Green, and son Cole.
As we prepare for next year's luncheon,
please feel free to forward your feedback, as we value your
input. To share your thoughts, please contact Jennifer
Schumacher at (425) 653-4294 or contact her by email at
jennifer.schumacher @kindering.org.
