Teaching Assistant

The Teaching Assistant will work in Kindering Center’s preschool program, assisting and supporting educators who work with children with special needs.  This will involve assisting children in performing scheduled activities, monitoring progress in instructional programs, and monitoring and reinforcing appropriate behavior and safety.  The Assistant will also help with classroom set-up and clean up; maintain, prepare and clean up supplies, toys and equipment; and record attendance. 

An AA degree in Early Childhood or equivalent is required, as well as experience working with infants and toddlers, or disabled children

Position available 8/25/2008, 30-40 hours/week.  $13.63/hour; 44-week contract year; paid holidays and excellent benefits.
